Ingredients (Pin Yin): Dang shen, Bai zhu, Gan jiang, Gan cao, Fu zi
Ingredients: Codonopsis pilosula root, Atractylodes macrocephala rhizome, Zingiber officinale rhizome-dried, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Aconitum carmichaelii root-prep
Other Ingredients: Talcum, Botanical wax
TCM Functions: Tonifies Spleen Qi, Warms Spleen and Stomach Yang, Dispels Cold
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x per day
Clinical Dosage: Administer with hot ginger tea or hot rice and ginger porridge to strengthen the formula’s ability to warm the yang. In the initial phases, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the formula takes effect. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. Once the acute symptoms of this condition are resolved, this formula should be discontinued, or replaced with an appropriate constitutional formula.
