Ingredients: Platycodon grandiflorum root
Other Ingredients: Talcum, Botanical wax
TCM Functions: Descends and Disperses Lung Qi, Expels Phlegm, Benefits the Throat, Directs Herbs to the Chest and Throat
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x per day
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In the initial phases, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the formula takes effect. May be used medium to long-term for several weeks to several months.
Contraindications (all): Use with caution for chronic cough due to Yin deficiency. Use with caution in patients with nausea, as the rising nature of Jie geng/platycodon may cause Stomach Qi to rise.
